The Very Last Week

Stella,

I'm so HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY to report that this will be my very last week of pregnancy with you. It's been real, it's been fun but come out already! The doc said you are growing out of real estate so we will be taking matters into our own hands next Wednesday. That means we are going to light a fire and smoke you out. Just kidding! I'm still trying to keep myself busy and hope that you decide to come on your own but from my Dr's visits, it doesn't look positive.

This past week has been somewhat of a roller coaster. Mommy is super swollen and no longer owns shoes that fit my feet. Daddy took me shopping and by the grace of God we found a pair of flip flops that don't cut off my circulation so I'm feeling pretty positive about that. I no longer have to worry about the "no shoes, no service" signs at restaurants. Just kidding, I totally wait to take them off until we are seated.

All your grandparents text and call constantly to see if there have been any changes. I think everyone is anxiously waiting to see your cute little brownie face, twizzler ears, pasta mouth, and no bake cookie eyes. Seriously, I apologize for my awful eating habits. If it makes you feel ANY better, I will be working my butt off to get back in shape. Literally.

Momma looking and FEELING rough. LAST WEEK!

Love you Princess!

Weekly Visits

Baby Stella,

Last week was the first of our weekly visits with the doctor. It was an uncomfortable appointment to say the least but we did find out that things are progressing nicely and you are close to a whopping 6 lbs. It must be all that green machine smoothie I have been feeding you because you are certainly making me nervous for a regular delivery. The Dr. said that he doesn't expect you to come in the next couple of weeks although it's not impossible.

Your Daddy and I have had a few serious talks about how I hope he acts in the delivery room. You see, your Daddy uses humor to deal when he is uncomfortable. This makes Mommy somewhat upset during serious situations so we have been coaching him through it. He already thinks he is going to be able to strap a GoPro camera to his head during the delivery. After I politely told him that there was no chance for that he still continues to tease about it. I can promise you that there will be no video of when you are born. Sorry. I am completely content with a few pictures AFTER the fact not DURING the labor.

Your Daddy and I are beginning to realize that our time together alone is very limited. I find myself going to showings, appointments, or anywhere with him just so I can spend that time with him. I realize that after you are here it will not be like that and I want to soak it all in while I can. He's a pretty fun guy but don't tell him I said so, we don't want that stuff going to his big head. ;)

Although I may not know when you are going to come, I am certainly as prepared as I will ever be. Your Nana and Papa Kenny spent the weekend with me picking up last minute items for you and for my hospital stay. I'm more tired than ever, more swollen than ever, and more ready for you to come out than ever. If you are anything like your Daddy or Momma you may be stubborn about coming out though. Don't worry, we won't be mad.

We love you Stell Bell.
